12月29日 所盼望的福

“在今世自守,公义,敬虔度日”(多2:12)。[1]{FH 375.1}
从心出发-第363章
We should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.Titus 2:12.{FH 375.1}[1]
从心出发-第363章
圣经劝勉我们要在今世自守,公义,敬虔度日,等候至大的上帝和我们救主耶稣基督的荣耀显现。有人反对我的工作,因为我教训说,我们的责任是等候基督亲自驾天云显现。他们说:“听怀夫人关于基督复临的讲论,总让人觉得主来的日子迫在眉睫。在过去四十年时间里,她一直在传讲这个题目,但主仍没有来。”这种异议实质上就是反对主自己的话。祂曾亲口对蒙爱的门徒说:“是的,我必快来”。约翰回答说:“主耶稣啊,我愿你来”(启22:20)。[2]{FH 375.2}
从心出发-第363章
We are exhorted to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, and to look for the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ. Some have made an objection to my work, because I teach that it is our duty to be looking for Christ’s personal appearing in the clouds of heaven. They have said, “You would think that the day of the Lord was right upon us to hear Mrs. White speak in reference to the coming of Christ; and she has been preaching on that same subject for the last forty years, and the Lord has not yet come.” This very objection might have been brought against the words of Christ Himself. He said by the mouth of the beloved disciple, “Behold, I come quickly,” and John responds, “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”{FH 375.2}[2]
从心出发-第363章
基督说这些话,是对祂子民的警告和鼓励,我们为什么不听从呢?主说过,忠心的人将警醒等候祂。不忠心的仆人则说:“我的主人必来得迟”,就动手打他的同伴,又与醉酒的人一同吃喝(太24:48-50)。[3]{FH 375.3}
从心出发-第363章
Jesus spoke these words as words of warning and encouragement to His people; and why should we not heed them? The Lord has said that it is the faithful who will be found watching and waiting for Him. It was the unfaithful servant who said, “My lord delayeth his coming,” and began to smite his fellow servants and to eat and drink with the drunken.{FH 375.3}[3]
从心出发-第363章
基督复临的准确时间并没有启示。耶稣说:“那日子,那时辰,没有人知道”(太24:36)。但祂已告诉我们祂来的预兆,说:“你们看见这一切的事,就知道人子近了,正在门口了”(太24:33)。鉴于这些事,使徒写道:“弟兄们,你们却不在黑暗里,叫那日子临到你们像贼一样”(帖前5:4)。我们既不知道基督来临的时辰,就必须在今世自守,敬虔度日,“等候所盼望的福,并等候至大的上帝和我们救主耶稣基督的荣耀显现”(多2:12,13)。[4]{FH 375.4}
从心出发-第363章
The exact time of Christ’s second coming is not revealed. Jesus said, “No man knoweth the day nor the hour.” But He also gave signs of His coming, and said, “When ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.” He bade them, as the signs of His coming should appear, “Look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” And in view of these things the apostle wrote, “Ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day.” Since we know not the hour of Christ’s coming, we must live soberly and godly in this present world, “looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”{FH 375.4}[4]
从心出发-第363章
基督为我们舍了自己,要赎我们脱离一切罪恶,又洁净我们特作自己的子民,热心为善。祂的子民应当保持自己作祂代表的特色。这是他们每一个人要做的工作。使徒说:“我们不是属黑夜的,也不是属幽暗的。所以,我们不要睡觉,像别人一样,总要警醒谨守”(帖前5:5,6)。——《时兆》1889年6月24日[5]{FH 375.5}
从心出发-第363章
Christ gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. His people are to preserve their peculiar character as His representatives. There is work for every one of them to do.... Says the apostle, “We are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”—Signs of the Times, June 24, 1889.{FH 375.5}[5]
