救赎人类的计划并不是一种事后的措施,不是在亚当堕落之后才拟订的。它乃是“永古隐藏不言的奥秘”的启示(罗16:25)。它又是那曾在万古之先作为上帝宝座根基的原则的展开。上帝和基督从太初就预知撒但的背叛,和人类因这背叛者的欺骗势力而致的堕落。上帝并没有命定罪恶必须存在,但祂预见它的存在而作了准备,以应付这可怕的变故。祂对世人的爱是如此地伟大,甚至立约将祂的独生子赐给他们,“叫一切信祂的,不至灭亡,反得永生”(约3:16)。(DA 22)[2]

The plan for our redemption was not an after-thought, a plan formulated after the fall of Adam. It was a revelation of “the mystery which hath been kept in silence through times eternal.” It was an unfolding of the principles that from eternal ages have been the foundation of God’s throne. From the beginning, God and Christ knew of the apostasy of Satan, and of the fall of man through the deceptive power of the apostate. God did not ordain that sin should exist, but He foresaw its existence, and made provision to meet the terrible emergency. So great is His love for the world, that He covenanted to give His only-begotten Son, “that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”—The Desire of Ages, 22.{RRe 50.2}[2]

这位智慧无穷的主,除了牺牲自己的儿子以外,是没有别的方法能以救我们的。这种牺牲的报酬就是祂能欢喜见到地上住满了圣洁、快乐和不死的赎民。救主与黑暗权势争战的结果就是蒙救之子民的欢喜,使上帝因而得荣耀,直到永永远远。这就说明天父重视人的价值,甚至情愿付出这样的代价,并且基督也要因见到自己伟大牺牲的效果而心满意足。(GC 652)[3]

He who is infinite in wisdom could devise no plan for our salvation except the sacrifice of His Son. The compensation for this sacrifice is the joy of peopling the earth with ransomed beings, holy, happy, and immortal. The result of the Saviour’s conflict with the powers of darkness is joy to the redeemed, redounding to the glory of God throughout eternity. And such is the value of the soul that the Father is satisfied with the price paid; and Christ Himself, beholding the fruits of His great sacrifice, is satisfied.—The Great Controversy, 652.{RRe 50.3}[3]
