五月二十一日思想与行动的能力

Power to Think and to Do, May 21

“你要认识上帝，就得平安，福气也必临到你”（伯22:21）。{RC155.1}

Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Job 22:21. {RC 155.1}

爱的律法要求人奉献身，心，灵为上帝和同胞服务。这种服务不但使我们造福他人，也给自己带来极大的福气。无私是一切真发展的基础。藉着无私的服务，我们接受各种才能的最高造就，越来越多地与上帝的性情有分。我们获得了进入天国的资格，因为我们已将天国接到心里。{RC155.2}

The law of love calls for the devotion of body, mind, and soul to the service of God and our fellow men. And this service, while making us a blessing to others, brings the greatest blessing to ourselves. Unselfishness underlies all true development. Through unselfish service we receive the highest culture of every faculty. More and more fully do we become partakers of the divine nature. We are fitted for heaven; for we receive heaven into our hearts. {RC 155.2}

上帝既是一切真知识的源泉，我们就会看到，教育的首要目的是要把我们的思想引到上帝有关祂自己的启示上。亚当和夏娃曾藉着与上帝直接交往而获得知识；又从祂的作为上了解祂。一切受造之物在原来的完美状态下，都表达上帝的旨意。在亚当夏娃看来，自然界充满着上帝的智慧。但因为犯罪，人就不能藉着直接与上帝来往而认识祂，在很大的程度上也不能从祂的作为上认识他。{RC155.3}

Since God is the source of all true knowledge, it is ... the first object of education to direct our minds to His own revelation of Himself. Adam and Eve received knowledge through direct communion with God; and they learned of Him through His works. All created things, in their original perfection, were an expression of the thought of God. To Adam and Eve nature was teeming with divine wisdom. But by transgression man was cut off from learning of God through direct communion and, to a great degree, through His works. {RC 155.3}

地球受到了罪的污损，只能模糊地反映创造主的荣耀。祂的实物教训并没有消失。从祂创造大作的每一页中，仍能看到祂的手迹。自然界仍在宣扬她的创造主。但这些启示是片面而不完全的。我们处在堕落的状态中，能力薄弱，眼光有限，不能作出正确的解释。因此我们需要上帝在圣经中所赐关于祂自己更充分的启示。{RC155.4}

The earth, marred and defiled by sin, reflects but dimly the Creator’s glory. It is true that His object lessons are not obliterated. Upon every page of the great volume of His created works may still be traced His handwriting. Nature still speaks of her Creator. Yet these revelations are partial and imperfect. And in our fallen state, with weakened powers and restricted vision, we are incapable of interpreting aright. We need the fuller revelation of Himself that God has given in His Written Word. {RC 155.4}

圣经是真理的完美标准，因此必须把它放在教育的最高地位。要获得名副其实的教育，就必须接受圣经所启示关于创造主上帝和救赎主基督的知识。每一个按照上帝的形像所创造的人，都赋有与创造主相似的能力——个性，都有思考和行动的能力。凡培养了这种能力的人，都是负有责任，在事业上担任领袖，影响他人品格的人。……{RC155.5}

The Holy Scriptures are the perfect standard of truth.... Every human being, created in the image of God, is endowed with a power akin to that of the Creator—individuality, power to think and to do. The men in whom this power is developed are the men who bear responsibilities, who are leaders in enterprise, and who influence character.... {RC 155.5}

要引导学生不限于学习人所讲所写的，而是要探索真理的源泉，到大自然和圣经启示的广阔学习园地去。思考有关责任和命运的重大问题，心胸就会得到扩大和加强。……非但不让主要的情感成为破坏力，反而会使人的每一动机和愿望都符合正义的伟大原则。人关注上帝品格的完美，心意就会得到更新，心灵也会按上帝的形像而再造。{RC155.6}

Let students be directed to the sources of truth, to the vast fields opened for research in nature and revelation. Let them contemplate the great facts of duty and destiny, and the mind will expand and strengthen.... Instead of some master passion becoming a power to destroy, every motive and desire are brought into conformity to the great principles of right. As the perfection of His character is dwelt upon, the mind is renewed, and the soul is re-created in the image of God.... {RC 155.6}

上帝对于祂儿女的理想，超过人间的最高理想。敬虔──与上帝相似──是我们所要达到的目标。（Ed.16-18）{RC155.7}

Higher than the highest human thought can reach is God’s ideal for His children. Godliness—godlikeness—is the goal to be reached.—Education, 16-18. {RC 155.7}
