当牧人引领羊群攀登多石的山丘,经过森林和荒芜的沟壑,到河边的草原时,当他整夜在山上看守它们,保护它们脱离强盗的手,并温慈地照料病弱的羊时,他的生活就和羊群打成一片。一种坚强亲切的关系,把牧人和他所看守的羊群联结在一起。不论羊群多大,牧人总是认识每一只羊。每一只羊有它的名字。牧人一叫,它就应声而来。JNN87.2

As the shepherd leads his flock over the rocky hills, through forest and wild ravines, to grassy nooks by the riverside; as he watches them on the mountains through the lonely night, shielding from robbers, caring tenderly for the sickly and feeble, his life comes to be one with theirstrong and tender attachment unites him to the objects of his care. However large the flock, the shepherd knows every sheep. Every one has its name, and responds to the name at the shepherd’s call.{JNN 87.2}

As an earthly shepherd knows his sheep, so does the Divine Shepherd know His flock that are scattered throughout the world. “Ye My flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, anm your God, saith the Lord God.” Jesus says, “I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.” “I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands” (Ezekiel 34:31; Isaiah 43:1; 49:16).{JNN 87.3}

Jesus knows us individually, and is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He knows us all by name. He knows the very house in which we live, the name of each occupant. He has at times given directions to His servants to go tertain street iertain city, to sucouse, to find one of His sheep.{JNN 87.4}

耶稣熟悉每一个人的情况,好像救主的死,只是为了那一个人。每一个人的苦恼都感动祂的心。求助的呼声无不蒙祂垂听。祂来是要吸引众人归向自己。祂吩咐他们“跟从我,”于是祂的灵就运行在他们心中,引导他们归向祂。但有许多人不肯受祂的引导。耶稣知道他们是谁。祂也知道哪一些人欢喜听祂的呼唤,乐意受祂的牧养。祂说:“我的羊听我的声音,我也认识他们,他们也跟着我。”祂对每一个人的照顾,犹如世上没有其他的人存在一样。JNN87.5

Every soul is as fully known to Jesus as if he were the only one for whom the Saviour died. The distress of every one touches His heart. The cry for aid reaches His ear. He came to draw all men and women unto Himself. He bids them, “Follow Me,” and His Spirit moves upon their hearts to draw them to come to Him. Many refuse to be drawn. Jesus knows who they are. He also knows who gladly hear His call, and are ready to come under His pastoral care. He says, “My sheep hear My voice, annow them, and they follow Me.” He cares for each one as if there were not another on the face of the earth.{JNN 87.5}

“祂按着名叫自己的羊,把羊领出来。……羊也跟着祂,因为认得祂的声音。”近东一带的牧羊人从来不在羊群后面驱策它们。他从不使用武力或恐吓的手段,只是走在前面,呼叫羊的名字。羊认得他的声音,听从他的呼唤。好牧人救主耶稣也是这样对待祂的羊。(DA479、480)JNN87.6

“He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.... And the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice.” The Eastern shepherd does not drive his sheep. He depends not upon force or fear; but going before, he calls them. They know his voice, and obey the call. So does the Saviour-Shepherd with His sheep.—The Desire of Ages, 479, 480.{JNN 87.6}
