第29章 安息日
教育论-第30章
Chapter 29—The Sabbath
教育论-第30章
“这日在我与你们中间为证据,使你们知道我是耶和华”(结20:20)。
教育论-第30章
“It is a sign between Me and you;...that ye may know that I am the Lord.”
教育论-第30章
安息日作为教育的手段具有无法估量的价值。无论上帝向我们要什么,祂都会丰富地偿还我们,并经过祂自己荣耀的美化。祂要以色列人缴纳十分之一,是要在人间保存祂天上圣殿的荣美模型,和祂临格地上的标志。同样,祂也向我们索要一部分的光阴,带上祂的名号和印记,重新赐给我们。祂说:“这是你我之间……的证据,使你们知道我耶和华……”,因为“六日之内,耶和华造天,地,海和其中的万物,第七日便安息;所以耶和华赐福与安息日,定为圣日”(出31:13;20:11)。安息日是创造和救赎大能的证据,表明上帝是生命与知识的泉源,使人想起他原有的荣耀,从而证明上帝的旨意是要按照祂自己的形像再造我们。{Ed 250.1}
教育论-第30章
The value of the Sabbath as a means of education is beyond estimate. Whatever of ours God claims from us, He returns again, enriched, transfigured, with His own glory. The tithe that He claimed from Israel was devoted to preserving among men, in its glorious beauty, the pattern of His temple in the heavens, the token of His presence on the earth. So the portion of our time which He claims is given again to us, bearing His name and seal. “It is a sign,” He says, “between Me and you; ... that ye may know that I am the Lord;” because “in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.”Exodus 31:13;20:11. The Sabbath is a sign of creative and redeeming power; it points to God as the source of life and knowledge; it recalls man’s primeval glory, and thus witnesses to God’s purpose to re-create us in His own image.{Ed 250.1}
教育论-第30章
安息日和家庭的制度都是在伊甸园中设立的。上帝希望这两个制度联系在一起,不要分开。这一天比其它日子更易让我们过伊甸园的生活。上帝的计划是要家庭的成员一起工作和学习,崇拜和休息,父亲作家庭的祭司,父母作儿女的教师和伴侣。但犯罪的结果改变了生活状况,在很大的程度上破坏了这种结合。父亲往往在一周之间难得见儿女一面。他几乎全完全丧失了陪伴和教育儿女的机会。但上帝的爱对劳动的要求设定了限制。祂将祂慈悲的手放在安息日上。在祂自己的日子里,祂为家庭保留了一个机会与祂,与大自然,以及彼此之间进行交往。{Ed 250.2}
教育论-第30章
The Sabbath and the family were alike instituted in Eden, and in God’s purpose they are indissolubly linked together. On this day more than on any other, it is possible for us to live the life of Eden. It was God’s plan for the members of the family to be associated in work?and study, in worship and recreation, the father as priest of his household, and both father and mother as teachers and companions of their children. But the results of sin, having changed the conditions of life, to a great degree prevent this association. Often the father hardly sees the faces of his children throughout the week. He is almost wholly deprived of opportunity for companionship or instruction. But God’s love has set a limit to the demands of toil. Over the Sabbath He places His merciful hand. In His own day He preserves for the family opportunity for communion with Him, with nature, and with one another.{Ed 250.2}
教育论-第30章
安息日既是创造大能的纪念,我们就应格外在这一天藉着上帝的创作来认识祂。在孩子们的心目中,安息日要与自然万物的美联系在一起。凡在安息日像耶稣和祂门徒那样地经过田野、湖边或树林,前往会堂敬拜上帝的家庭,是有福的。父母可以藉着大自然敞开的课本,教导儿女们圣经中上帝的话语。这样做的父母是有福的。他们能在绿树底下呼吸新鲜的空气,研究圣经,赞美天父。{Ed 251.1}
教育论-第30章
Since the Sabbath is the memorial of creative power, it is the day above all others when we should acquaint ourselves with God through His works. In the minds of the children the very thought of the Sabbath should be bound up with the beauty of natural things. Happy is the family who can go to the place of worship on the Sabbath as Jesus and His disciples went to the synagogue—across the fields, along the shores of the lake, or through the groves. Happy the father and mother who can teach their children God’s written word with illustrations from the open pages of the book of nature; who can gather under the green trees, in the fresh, pure air, to study the word and to sing the praise of the Father above.{Ed 251.1}
教育论-第30章
藉着这样的交往,父母就可以使儿女的心与他们相连,从而也与上帝相连。这样的结合是牢不可破的。{Ed 251.2}
教育论-第30章
By such associations parents may bind their children to their hearts, and thus to God, by ties that can never be broken.{Ed 251.2}
教育论-第30章
作为智育的方法,安息日的机会也是非常宝贵的。学习安息日学的学课,并不是在安息日早上匆匆地将学课的经文略读一遍,而要在安息日下午仔细研究下一周的学课,接着在一周中每天复习思考。这样就能将教训铭记心中,成为决不会完全丧失的财宝。{Ed 251.3}
教育论-第30章
As a means of intellectual training, the opportunities of the Sabbath are invaluable. Let the Sabbath-school lesson be learned, not by a hasty glance at the lesson scripture on Sabbath morning, but by careful study for?the next week on Sabbath afternoon, with daily review or illustration during the week. Thus the lesson will become fixed in the memory, a treasure never to be wholly lost.{Ed 251.3}
教育论-第30章
在听道的时候,父母和儿女要记下所引用的经文和章节,尽可能掌握讲题的思路,以便回家后彼此温习。这样可以解除孩子在听道时常常产生的厌倦心理,培养他们注意和联想的习惯。{Ed 252.1}
教育论-第30章
In listening to the sermon, let parents and children note the text and the scriptures quoted, and as much as possible of the line of thought, to repeat to one another at home. This will go far toward relieving the weariness with which children so often listen to a sermon, and it will cultivate in all a habit of attention and of connected thought.{Ed 252.1}
教育论-第30章
默想如此展示的题目,会在学生面前敞开他所从未梦想到的财宝。他必在自己的人生中,证实圣经所描述的经验:{Ed 252.2}
教育论-第30章
Meditation on the themes thus suggested will open to the student treasures of which he has never dreamed. He will prove in his own life the reality of the experience described in the scripture:{Ed 252.2}
教育论-第30章
“我得着祢的言语,就当食物吃了,祢的言语是我心中的欢喜快乐”(耶15:16)。{Ed 252.3}
教育论-第30章
“Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and Thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart.”Jeremiah 15:16.{Ed 252.3}
教育论-第30章
“我也要思想祢的律例。”“都比金子可羡慕,且比极多的精金可羡慕;……况且祢的仆人因此受警戒,守着这些便有大赏”(诗119:48;19:10-11)。{Ed 252.4}
教育论-第30章
“I will meditate in Thy statutes.” “More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold.... Moreover by them is Thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.”Psalm 119:48;19:10, 11.{Ed 252.4}
