  In vision I saw two armies in terrible conflict. One army was led by banners bearing the world’s insignia; the other was led by the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel. Standard after standard was left to trail in the dust, as company after company from the Lord’s army joined the foe, and tribe after tribe from the ranks of the enemy united with the commandment-keeping people of God....{RRe 265.2}[2]

  战争酣烈，双方互有胜负。有时十字架的军兵败退了，“好像拿军旗的昏过去一样”（赛10:18）。但他们显然是以退为进，取得了更有利的阵势。只听得传来阵阵欢呼之声。当基督的精兵将衪的旌旗竖立在那一向为敌人固守的城堡上时，便扬起了一片赞美上帝的歌声，又有众天使的声音相和。我们救恩的元帅在指挥战争，并声援衪的军兵。衪大展神能，激励他们使战争迫近城门。衪逐步率领他们，胜而又胜，又以威严秉公义教导他们。（8T 41）[3]

  The battle raged. Victory alternated from side to side. Now the soldiers of the cross gave way, “as when a standard-bearer fainteth.”Isaiah 10:18. But their apparent retreat was but to gain a more advantageous position. Shouts of joy were heard. A song of praise to God went up, and angel voices united in the song, as Christ’s soldiers planted His banner on the walls of fortresses till then held by the enemy. The Captain of our salvation was ordering the battle, and sending support to His soldiers. His power was mightily displayed, encouraging them to press the battle to the gates. He taught them terrible things in righteousness as He led them on step by step, conquering and to conquer.—Testimonies for the Church 8:41.{RRe 265.3}[3]
