每一个真正悔改的人必强烈希望把别人带出错谬的黑暗，进入耶稣基督公义的奇妙光明之中。上帝圣灵的沛然大降，全地被祂的荣耀所光照，要等到我们成为一班有见识的子民，并从经验上认识与上帝同工的意义的时候，方能出现。当我们全心全意地献身为基督服务时，上帝的灵就会无限量地沛降，藉以承认这个事实；但教会大部分人若没有与上帝同工，这件事就不会发生。上帝就不能沛降祂的圣灵，因为自私和自我放纵如此泛滥，该隐回答上帝时所表现的精神占了优势：“我岂是看守我兄弟的吗”（创4:9）？{YRP 310.1}[2]

Every truly converted soul will be intensely desirous to bring others from the darkness of error into the marvelous light of the righteousness of Jesus Christ. The great outpouring of the Spirit of God, which lightens the whole earth with His glory, will not come until we have an enlightened people, that know by experience what it means to be laborers together with God. When we have entire, whole-hearted consecration to the service of Christ, God will recognize the fact by an outpouring of His Spirit without measure; but this will not be while the largest portion of the church are not laborers together with God. God cannot pour out His Spirit when selfishness and self-indulgence are so manifest; when a spirit prevails that, if put into words, would express that answer of Cain—“Am I my brother’s keeper?” (Genesis 4:9).{YRP 310.2}[2]

如果现代真理和各地所出现证明万物的结局近了的兆头，还不足以从睡眠中唤醒自称认识真理的人，那么，与所照耀的亮光相应的幽暗将会吞噬这些人。在最后交账的大日，他们拿不出象样的借口，在上帝面前为自己的冷漠辩护。他们无法解释自己为什么没有在圣经神圣真理的亮光中生活、行走和工作，藉着他们的行为、同情和热诚，向被罪恶遮暗的世界，显示无法反驳的福音的真实和大能。{YRP 310.2}[3]

If the truth for this time, if the signs that are thickening on every hand, that testify that the end of all things is at hand, are not sufficient to arouse the sleeping energy of those who profess to know the truth, then darkness proportionate to the light which has been shining will overtake these souls. There is not the semblance of an excuse for their indifference that they will be able to present to God in the great day of final reckoning. There will be no reason to offer as to why they did not live and walk and work in the light of the sacred truth of the Word of God, and thus reveal to a sin-darkened world, through their conduct, their sympathy, and their zeal, that the power and reality of the gospel could not be controverted.{YRP 310.3}[3]
