家庭是培养讲话能力的学校——培养儿童有良好的言语习惯是父母的职责。进行这种训练的最好学校乃是家庭的生活。孩子从很小的时候起，就当受到教育，对他们的父母以及彼此之间说尊敬和仁爱的话。必须教导他们只说和气、诚实和纯洁的话。父母们自己每天要在基督的学校里学习。这样，他们就能言传身教，使儿女“言语纯全，无可指责”（多2:8）。这是他们最重大的责任。--COL337,338.{VSS33.1}[1]

Home a School for Speech Culture—It is the work of parents to train their children to proper habits of speech. The very best school for this culture is the home life. From the earliest years the children should be taught to speak respectfully and lovingly to their parents and to one another. They should be taught that only words of gentleness, truth, and purity must pass their lips. Let the parents themselves be daily learners in the school of Christ. Then by precept and example they can teach their children the use of “sound speech, that cannot be condemned.”Titus 2:8. The Parents’ Part and God’s Part—Fathers and mothers, you have a solemn work to do. The eternal salvation of your children depends upon your course of action. How will you successfully educate your children? Not by scolding, for it will do no good. Talk to your children as if you had confidence in their intelligence. The proper conversation of a Christian is that which will enable him to interchange ideas.
